Porsche KG vs Porsche AG on aluminum tag ? when was the change over?

So, easy enough for 1972 and 1974. Porsche KG on the earlier models and AG on the 74 up. Could not find it readily on a search here. So what month in 1973 did Porsche change over the tag to say Porsche AG ?
    Inquiring minds want to know
    Thanks

AG on end June / Beg July 1973 911S Coupe.

Hi Dave...I have "AG" on my 1973 S - The silver door sticker says "AG" - 06/73 (The COA says July 01, 1973) and the "Aluminium" VIN Tag up front says "AG" as well... *911 330 1268* .../ Lars...

    Hi Dave

    i responded to your email

for the rest of the board the "official date" was at the start of January 1973 after the legals were done in late 1972. However Porsche being Porsche had old stock to use up so the aluminium vin plates did not change immediately. I think that there was a phase in period with some models being changed over sooner than others as most of the plate was pre-stamped so it would depend on how quickly stock wqas used up.

For the RS, that you were asking about, I think the changeover happened in May 1973 between VIN 1354 (KG) and 1364 (AG). I dont know when the others changed but I know the S seemed to change in April ... but it may have been as late as May

It would be also interesting to know if the sticker on the engine fan changed over from KG to AG at the same time or not. I dont have many good photos of these and they are more likely to have been replaced over time. However it appears that 1215 made in early May has KG on the engine fan decal and 1367 has AG but I cant be sure it is original

I try and keep track of this as well. My data also suggests May.
