My 70S does not have it's cold start circuit connected and I was thinking of hooking it back up but I was a little concerned as to whether or not that was a good idea as I have heard it can be a fire hazard. My car is a bit of a mongrel (not numbers matching) but has metal MFI stacks, an air cleaner assembly with the cold start plumbing and the solenoid fitted to the pump. It would be pretty simple to hook it back up. I live in SoCal and it takes a few turns to get it to fire but obviously it would fire quicker with the cold start hooked up. My question to the forum is should I leave it alone as the original system was dangerous or hook it up and not worry about it. Thanks.
