Guys
Would like to see a photo of a 73 rear seat, need to see the location of the snap that catches the rear set leather strap to hold it in up position.
Thanks
Frank

Jim, are those straps only glued to the seat backs OR are they glued with small anchoring screws as well.? Putting those puppies on this weekend. Thx for the help

If new they provide 2 very small upholstery nails per strap .... find larger as the originals were more like 1/2" .
Also use glue then nail as you will need to reglue the carpet on the seat.
They leather straps come in various lengths so make sure you get the correct ones.
Also do a quick mockup with strap & seat to make sure you set the strap at the right length to reach your snap location.

Here you go. My car is a 73. When I took the shot of the seat up and snapped in place I realized that in 13+ years of ownership I've never once had the seat in this position. Hope this helps.

I got new straps from Appbiz and cut them to the length needed to easily clip to the receiver on the lip. The original straps were always a struggle to clip as the leather tends to shrink. It was impossible for me to nail them on, so I used some brass wood screws to securely attach them to the seat back. Since the carpet gets glued over them the screws are not visible. I think the screws are a better solution in wood.
