Sekurit Markings on 1972/73 911 RS Windows

    Hi,

I wonder what the correct glas markings on 1972/73 911 RS windows should look like and what the single components mean.I am especially interested which part of the marking indicates the year of manufacture of the glas?

    Thank you for your assistance.

Maybe it is earlier in this thread, but we had a long discussion about window markings a while ago. Read back through this thread.

Afaik there is not an explicit date but " triangulating" from various manufacturer and standards body markings gives a clue to glass date. Differences on M471/491 vs M472. Also M472 side glass different to 73 TES as measured by some early examples here and apparently thinner side glass in M472 in original literature for M472 too Also clear and tinted were different.

This is my memory but my recall could be wrong.

Not sure if model year 73 glass evolved like many of things of the RS spec morphed (with notable exceptions) towards regular production methods and parts in third series.

Questions about RS 0.8 metal thickness and glass? Are you renovating an original RS with attention to detail or replicating one?
