I'm going to be putting a steel S bumper on Daisy and having an oil cooler installed, so I was hoping to see some photos of S bumpers wither cooling slot in the bumper. Any photo is much appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you using the O.E.M. cooler with the appropriate baffle plate?

Here are a couple pictures I saved probably off this site to use on a 69 POLO car I'm working on. I can't remember who owns these cars. If someone knows please let me know.

why slot it at all? I run a hot 2.7 in my '72 and I ran a much hotter 3.0 in my previous 73. Both have oil coolers in the front fender with sufficient airflow to the oil cooler thru the horn grille to allow them to run very cool ALL the time, including traffic and track time.
I'd be much more likely to put some air pass-thru's thru my PS battery box before I started slotting a perfect front bumper.
But perhaps you want that look...

Agreeing with Sonnett,, unless you just like the look of bumper slots, they really aren't needed in normal operation,,,,,if you're running the standard 'S' cooler WITH the factory louvered plate. We just ran my 72 S to Parade last summer through 110 degree Utah at high freeway speeds, never getting above 210 degrees.

My 2.4 POLO runs hot here in Colorado. 20% less oxygen and low humidity. The humidity can be in the teens and even single digits on 90 to 100 degree days. The compression is over 11 to 1. 4 100 mm cylinders with small fins making 2.4S power. The 2.7 with 105's will run even hotter. The bumper will be slotted and the front and rear panels of the passenger side battery box will be altered. Like my car there will be a panel going from the rear bottom edge of the bumper to the battery box or oil cooler. It's good for 5 less degrees on my car. The 2.7 will live in high humidity KC. For my car, I'm looking at adding a second cooler on the drivers side. When I drive the car along PCH North of Carpinteria the engine stays in the 190 to 215 range.

Blucille seldom goes about 180. I saw 210 when I was running with the federales in Mexico but my speed was well past anything we saw in California.
Death Valley I saw 210 for a brief time but never above that.
