Does anyone have any experiences with Omni PPG single stage paint? Please let me know ASAP; a shop is getting ready to use it on my front bumper. Thanks

I have experience with it. You use it when you want to save a few dollars a quart instead of using PPG Concept. It is a cheap low resin substitute that sprays on like water and is not as durable as Concept. Usually used only by body shops that do collision repair, and not restoration quality work on cars like Porsche. There are times I use it on parts that will not see the light of day or be subject to the elements. Never on an exterior panel.
+ 1 with what Jim said, had my Malibu done with PPG Concept 10 years ago and couldn't have asked for a better finish or durability...![]()

I agree with the comments above. Personally, I only use it on small parts that I don't want to spend big bucks on PPG etc.
That being said, I think the durability is good. I've never seen it fade or have any other issues. About 12 years ago, I had one of my cars painted and the painter said he couldn't get a proper color match in PPG but one was available in OMNI. Knowing what I know now, I don't think that was true and maybe he was trying to save $, even though I was paying him a separate materials fee. Anyway, it's been 12 years and the car still looks fantastic!
If you are just painting a bumper, trying to save a few bucks and willing to respray it in the future "if" necessary, then I say go for it.
