correct position of the B pillar rubber for a targa??

    Hi All,

Just test fitting my new rear targa bar rubber and I noticed that my rubber (from porsche) is a bit short. Am I correct that the rubber should end where the chrome on the door starts? If so, I need to pull the rubber a bit when gluing in?? Or does the rubber stop where the metal part of the b pillar (looking at it top down) goes from 'wide' to 'small'. This is close to where my chrome is but not quite. This is where the rubber ended when I bought the car, not implying that this was correct, because it looks to me that water could run in there.

    Thanks, frank

You need to put on the top and then stretch the 'B' pillar rubber to reach the top of the door, and the top rubber should lay in the depression at the top of the 'B' pillar rubber, so yes, you need to stretch and then glue in place.
