Hi Guys,
What part number or what rubber hose are you using when you replace the hose circled in the picture?
Car is a '72 Sunroof Coupe.
Thanks
Derek

Hello
Looks like you have a full-scale project going on. There are many small parts like this that can be sourced from "Non-Porsche" vendors, one of my favorites is McMaster Carr. www.mcmaster.com
A couple weeks ago I needed to source the felt material that goes on top of the Targa bar between the stainless cover. I was able to find a suitable felt material by doing a Google search for "felt" then talking with different manufacturers. There is a solution to just about every problem one can encounter when restoring an old 911, the problem is finding the guy who has the answer. If all else fails, just ask Frank Beck because he knows everything. Sorry Frank, I just outed you as the #1 Porsche Expert in the WORLD !
I am still trying to find a person that can walk me thru the process to get the original texture for the undercoating on a 70-73 911. ( original undercoating shown in picture)

That metal tube is most likely a metric dimension.....McMaster, who I use for many raw materials, does not have metric tubing. Bel Metric is very user friendly and has metric rubber tubing.

Pretty sure that the OP is talking about the rubber sleeve that surrounds the tube to facilitate the mounting tab in holding the tube in place. Perhaps just a piece of braided gas line of the proper diameter (slit lengthwise to ease installation) would do the trick.

Here is photo of my 71...the detail is a little different as the metal portions of the drain are tack welded just below and above the rubber/plastic joining detail.![]()

So this tube actually joins two metal tubes together. Look to be a clear piece in the photo above. The tack weld was probably added after the clear tube was installed.

Yes it’s plastic/rubber same on DS...also they use the same material only larger for the sunroof drainfeeds as it feeds off the rear drains .... then metal line tucked into the rear sheet metal feeding down each side along the engine lid
Will post photos in morning if there is interest
