Is it possible to switch out the fixed front quarter window of my 72 T for the opening version? Would the opening window frame fit without too much work? Any advice is appreciated.

You would need to find some 68 window frames. They were the only aluminum frame with an opening quarter window

Yes this will work and the fresh air is worth it. It will be a bit fiddly as all body work is and will depend on the condition of the donor. Although 68 is the only year for aluminum frames with wing, the earlier brass will work as well. The wing window looks better too. Good luck
Serge, if you go through with this conversion could you keep us posted with the progress.
I miss having opening 1/4's
Mark
There is nothing tricky or difficult about the conversion using 68 frames in a later car. The 67 and earlier frames are made of brass and have a slightly different confuguation at the front of the frame. Not a big deal either. The 68 (one year only aluminum Coupe frames with opening vents) are a direct replacement and match the quarter window frames that changed to aluminum from chrome plated brass in 68, as well.
