    FS: @eBay - 1972 Porsche 911T Coupe Matching Numbers

1972 Porsche 911T Coupe Project, VIN 9112101816 Engine 6122819 (matching), Transmission 7326872 (matching)

It's not every day that a project presents itself that is special in so many ways. If you can squint your eyes and see past the years and the flaws, you will be looking at this 911 as it rolled off the line in 1972. This car still has its original MFI engine and transmission, as confirmed by the Porsche supplied COA (see pics). The COA also shows the car was delivered in Silver Metallic/80 over Black Leatherette/11 interior. The COA also shows that the car was delivered with the 911S suspension package, please see the photo with the wheel off which shows the original Koni shocks with 911 part numbers, and the original 911S aluminum brake calipers. The rear 911S vented brakes are still in the rear. The engine turns over with a wrench but we have not attempted to start it. The MFI is intact, and the engine appears to have been cared for as evidenced by the stainless heat exchangers, which still look great.
The car will require some amount of serious rust repair. There are lots of pics of the underside that show both good and bad news. Of note is the rear parcel shelf, which has failed completely and will need replacement. Please see all of the pics to get a good idea of the amount of rust repair to expect in this restoration.
This is a rare 1972 coupe with the one-year only external oil filler door in the body. It was ordered without a sunroof which makes it even more rare for this era of 911. In striking silver over black, and with COA confirmed matching mechanicals, this will be one for the books when it's done. Don't miss the chance to be the one who brings this iconic example back from a long slumber.

If you're tired of seeing cars that never meet their reserve or never get to the end of the auction, have a look at our past auctions. Our cars are priced fairly, and they sell.

This 911 has a clear title and is ready for export.
