You're aware that your 70T would have originally been delivered with the round, large Durant mirrors?
So many of these cars have had mirrors changed over the years, it's almost rare to see the correct mirrors on them unless the car has been properly restored. My '72 should have the small flag, but has the later, larger flag from '74-75 instead. Someone probably just wanted better visibility, I suspect.

Current - 2018 718 Cayman, Rhodium Silver, PDK
Sold - 1972 911T coupe, Silver Metallic; 1984 911 Carrera coupe, Chiffon white; 1973 914 2.0, Saturn Yellow; 1984 944, Silver Metallic
I wasn't talking about the cars you see here, members here generally know what is correct. But cars you see out and about frequently have the wrong mirrors, especially the LWB cars. Or that has always been my perception. Maybe I just obsess over stuff like that to the point that I think the wrong mirrors are more common than they really are.

Never was a pair in 72/73 production,AFAIK.........so, he is looking for non original s { Alfa? }that are not too uncommonly seen on early cars & in magazines too. And, I don't know why , with all this new and advanced technology, that a right side could not be reversed ( mirror image ) for the right side!......cliff

”What would PORSCHE do”
67 911 de Luxe, 356 B silver metallic / brown interior, ( buck skin really ) 67 PORSCHE [ Reuters ] 912, Crystal blue, black interior, 72 T, Silver metallic/black interior, appearance group,factory AC.
As I said, another reason round Durants are correct. Even on later 72/73 cars that came with the small flags, if you ordered a passenger side mirror the factory installed the 68-71 large Durants.
BTW, Porsche now sells the 72-73 small flags in both driver and passenger sides. Not available back then but available now. Unfortunately, they're wildly incorrect. I just ordered a set for a hot rod and they're fine for that but not even close to resembling an original mirror.
