    Orange hood badges

    Hello,

On offer these two orange hood badges, bot dimpled back side. The one where the gold plating is gone has 13 mm long pins, the other one 9 mm. Long one may be from 1974-ish? All enamel on that one intact while the top right bar on the other had a chip missing and was filled in with paint. For the rest it is in nice condition.
    Asking $350,- each of them.

    Regards,

    Cees

Seems a bit confusing so top badge has 13 mm long pins, bottom one 9 mm.

    Hi Mike,

I can't see it, even with the badge in hands. I bought this one a while ago and did nothing to it, was hanging on the wall in my man cave..

How about another picture of the top badge from an angle so we can see the surface of that top right orange bar.

    Another picture

I do not have ideal conditions to photograph the top badge. Seems like this one has been polished many times in the past or all the the orange bars are new. They feel a little bit hollow compared to the black bars. From 1 meter away you don't see it and you have to come very close to see it. This is like 4 x magnification of the real size. That's something for the concours judges!

Yes all the orange bars look like they have been painted to replace the lost enamel, probably why they are shallow.

Just swiped some lacquer thinner over the bars....F%^k indeed they are painted!! It wasn't me for sure and got fooled this time. I touched up the other one, guilty, yes. Anyway, offers are welcome.

    Cees
