It’s a pretty rare color. I remember when researching my olive green 74 US Carrera, I found a document saying that only 0.65% of cars in 74 were produced in that color. Can’t find it right now, but that seems quite rare. When I sold the car it also received a large premium over recent sales of white, red, black etc.
So, IMHO I would say it’s desirable from a value perspective.
I like it...………![]()

Olive is so bad on pics but so good in real world.
A friend has an olive car with an offset (not in the middle of the car) 20cm width ivory stripe - that's fantastic.
If I had to choose a color for a car olive would be on my list for a 71-75 car.
I think Olive looks terrific in the pics that Brent attached.![]()

love it...even more on a g-mod(not sure if the same code)
I spent about 5 years studying the colors before 1974. and finally saw a car in olive about 4 years ago. its unusual, which is what makes it start a conversation.
i think the car with people standing next to it is 'hunter green' which looks really great.
there are 4 olives....3939 is shown here (sometimes named earth olive). there is an olive green (named olive green) for 1974, and two metallic olives.
in USA, you had to pay extra for olive, a special color, but I think in europe it may have been more common, back in the day.
this is my car in its natural environment, parked at my job. (olive was my first choice, with no regrets)

Took me years to hunt down a worthwhile Golden Green car and olive is the next green on my list. Ridiculously awesome color.
