Show me what you have installed instead of the dashboard clock ? Nothing ? Air vents ? Voltmeter ? Something else ?

Still "under construction" but found this cool aviation clock on fleabay and had it rebuilt and fitted to go 'in the hole'. The Heuer's will go below.![]()

Just installed a blank.
Temp gauge outside
I installed a shift light in the clockface. I drilled out the middle and installed an autometer shift light. I had to fab a support bracket for the shift light, no biggie. The shift light turns on at start up, cycles and turns off. You can adjust the rpm that will activate the shift light. Having the shift light on a street car is awesome, it improves situational awareness by keeping your eyes out of the cockpit. Here's a link: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-5330. I keep the original clock in a box in the basement and use broken or discard cheap clock. No clock innards behind the clock face.![]()
My apologies for the tilted pixs but you get the idea. This is my 1989 911. I also have done the same on my 1975 backdate to 1970 and 1967 911.
These are very cool ideas, please throw more in.![]()

An option on 912's was this dash thermometer that fit the clock opening. I've got one that should be in somebody's dash...

Clock is very cool.
One....what did you have to do to get it to it fit into the dash hole?
Two....who rebuilt it for you? And how much did that cost if you can mention that on a public forum?[/QUOTE]
Thanks!
1) I had Jon, the Metal Surgeon in Denver, do all the body mods on this car. He modified the dash to accommodate the clock.
2) There’s a local gent here (late 80’s now) who is master clocknician(?!) All the jewelry stores use him to restore high end time pieces. He only charged me @ 250 to go through it, oil it and adjust. It keeps perfect time.
