'. . . sold new at Jim Kelly Porsche/Audi in Buffalo, New York and was acquired by the current owner in Texas in 1976. The car is finished in silver over a black interior, and power is provided by a numbers-matching 2.4-liter flat-six fitted with Weber TIPO 40 carburetors and paired with its original Type 915/02 five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ Fuchs wheels, fog lights, Koni shocks, and a cassette stereo. Work carried out in November 2019 consisted of adjusting the valves, rebuilding one of the carburetors, replacing the spark plugs, flushing the brakes and clutch, and performing a tune-up. This 911S is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with service records, owner’s manuals, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, tool kit, and a clean Virginia title.
. . . delivered new in Silver Metallic and was repainted its current shade of silver in 1999 following the completion of rust repair. Equipment includes front and rear bumperettes, fog lights, and a fender-mounted antenna. The seller notes evidence of prior front end damage and states that the front hood latch panel should be replaced. Scratches are present on the windshield and driver’s window.
. . . Fuchs alloy wheels show date codes from 1973 and 1974 and are wrapped in Pirelli P4000 Super Touring tires that should be replaced due to age. The suspension is fitted with Koni shocks, and the rear sway bar bushings were reportedly replaced in 2020. Braking is handled by four wheel discs, and a brake fluid flush was carried out in November 2019.
The interior features replacement front seats upholstered in black vinyl, along with a matching dash with a replacement pad. An aftermarket Sanyo cassette head unit is fitted. The factory under-dash air conditioning shows wear and is inoperable, and the driver’s door panel pocket has been removed.
A four-spoke steering wheel with an aftermarket cover fronts VDO instrumentation that includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer and a 150-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles and has rolled over at least once. Approximately 24k miles are said to have been added by the current owner, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.4-liter flat-six is fitted with Weber TIPO 40 carburetors in place of the factory mechanical fuel injection. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 915/02 five-speed manual transaxle. Work in November 2019 performed by LMN Motorsports of Virginia Beach, Virginia included a valve adjustment, a rebuilt right carburetor, and replacement of the spark plugs, fuel filter, valve cover gasket, ignition point, and fluids. An oil leak is noted, and photos showing results from a September 2020 compression test are provided in the gallery.
Engine-case stamping *6331414* matches the number shown on the accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. The serial number of the gearbox (337222) also matches the CoA and is pictured in the gallery.
Rust-through is noted on the front pan and around the front torsion bar mounts. Additional rust is present around the battery boxes, and further images of the underbody, suspension, brakes, and exhaust are viewable below . . .'
