    WTB: 35a Bosch alternator for a '66

This turned into one of those things that leave a very bad taste in one's mouth. I took my unit to the local auto electric shop which has been in business for years. They said "oh year, we can rebuild it" and proceeded to show me a newer Porsche alternator they had just finished. When I went in to check on it after a few days, I was told some things broke and they would not be able to repair it. I assumed these would have been the bolts which I wasn't able to loosen either. Well was I wrong. No real point in dealing with them on any level ever again, I put my broken baby in a box and walked out of the shop disheartened.
I know there is a very nice unit on Ebay, but I was hoping to not need to spend $500 to replace this.
What I am looking for is a functioning Bosch 0 0120 400 522 alternator (generator) which is for an early '66. Anyone?
    Thanks.

I have some decent cores, but would need to be rebuilt.

jt912, I would buy Tom's package instead of a core from me as the shipping for this heavy part to you would not make sence, and then your time and money to get it rebuilt? Just buy Tom's as he is reputable.
