    Different Size Fan Housing Straps ?

    I have been searching high and low and cannot figure out the issue with a replacement Fan Housing Strap. I have a 69 911T, with a 3.2, the fan housing (901.106.101.5R) appears to be from the 69, and the strap from the original 69.

    The replacement is 2-3 inches too short, and measuring it against what appears to be my original 69 strap, it is indeed 2-3 inches shorter. The sites/PET indicates that the replacement part fits all 911s up to 1989:

    There is no way this fits my housing, or at least the one I bought from Sierra Madre doesn't. I could recondition mine, but it's been fairly tortured and I would rather replace it.

    But there have to be 2 different strap sizes (since I have 2), or am I missing something?

    pretty sure they sent me the smaller RSR fan housing strap, which would explain it...

    When I made my small fan housing strap, I cut out 50~mm. I didn’t know one was available for purchase. I still wanted twin 8mm bolts painted black.

    FYI, this one is the one I bought, and is listed on other sites as smaller RSR size (though not on SM). 2 bolts.
