    Good Security Painting

    April 1, 1973 my 911E was born.

Per the COA, the car came with Gold Security Painting...

Is that the 3 stripes and 911 on the hood? Security painting lost in translation
    became Safety Stripes?

    Hi Ray
I'm pretty certain that's how they were marketed back in the day...

others here have said, yes, to the security paint = safety stripes.
I thought the stripes started in 74, but looks like they came earlier.

Yes, the decals is what they refer to.
Have you ever noticed how often the CoA has the birth date as the first of the month? It is a false statement. These first of the month dates are the invoice date from the Factory to the Distributor. In all probability the car was completed the preceding month or possibly later in the same month. In my experience, Kardex and CoA/PPS/CTC dates will either be the Invoice date or the date of sale to the first owner; these are the dates available from the Kardex or the later shipping records. The actual production documents are not used for the production of the CoA/PPS/CTC.

That's so cool. What a nice surprise. You had no idea before you got the COA?
