That is not a pre '69 but an early bracket that fits the early motor mount console that was changed in '67 , so a pre sometime in '67 bracket , but you found one !

Thanks for this information…I thought this was the correct part for 67-68 cars. Any more information? I have a late build 1967 normale with factory race hardware including sport kit II exhaust but some period pics of it running an exhaust canister as well so trying to put together a period correct quieter option than the megaphones.

Do you have the engine mount console that uses the longer studs ? If you do , you need the later style bracket as used in '67 and forward , not the '65 , '66 and early '67 bracket .

If your engine mount console looks like this one, you will need the early muffler bracket.

According to the original 1965-68 911/911S Parts Catalogue, the one posted by Tom in post #2 is 901.111.151.03 which it says is for the 911 up to engine number 909 000. The one I posted (901.111.151.04) is for 911, 911T, 911L & 911S from engine number 909 001. According to the catalogue the console also changes at the same time, as Tom said the one in post #7 being the one required for the early bracket.
