correct 1973 owner's manual cover interior

Does anyone know what the (burgundy) red cover for the "Bordmappe", manual and service paper is supposed to look like for an early 1973? I've seen interiors in red, brownish, blue, dark-blue, orange, grey and cream interiors. And full or half coloured .

    Examples:
Name: Porsche 911 oder 914 oder 914_6 Bordmappe bis 1973.jpg

Well, as sure as I am about everything else that came with my car when I bought it 32 years ago...
Which would be 16 years after orginially bought from a local SoCal dealership in June of '73 ...

As far as 101% sure.... Maybe a DNA test....

I switched to a repop cover for my stuff only about 10 years ago.....

Yes, a maroon cover. Interior color could be anything.

I'm not sure that was the exact conclusion; Any document map through many years was maroon on the exterior (was there any other color anyway, apart from today's models?); My question was re. the interior and if a specific color could be determined for the 1973 model year.

no, no specific “interior” color, because several are possible and have been seen. As Davep confirmed.

I WAS being a little facetious, however I have seen quite a variety. I have one with a viper green liner with the coarse texture line the red one above; probably 1973 but possibly 1972. I also have one with a grey liner with fine texture like the black one above; probably with my 1974. My understanding is the distributors would get these in bulk quantities, and deliver to dealers along with manuals. Then the dealers would make up the set for a car. So it such a situation, it would depend on what the dealer had on hand. From what I understand, many of the tool kits were handled the same way. The one you show with grey pocket flaps is a new combo for me.
