FS: Heuer RallyMaster in black - near NOS condition, fully serviced!

Back again with some more great Heuer sets! To kick it off, we have this very rare full matching numbers ex-Military RallyMaster

This RallyMaster in fantastic condition, discovered as part of a watchmakers estate sale last year. The set is near flawless NOS condition. The crystals, closing plates, movements, crowns, pushers & cases are all in excellent fettle, the cases show very minor marks that are hard to show on a photograph. Particularly of note is the condition of the hands & dials, they are excellent. The tritium luminous paint has a wonderful patina and both display the correct circled "T" for military Heuers - this denotes Tritium luminous paint. The backplate is in perfect condition and is correctly marked with military part number stamps and Heuer-Leonidas on the reverse.

The story given from the previous owner was that he rescued them from a doomed to be scrapped Blackburn Buckaneer jet in 1992!

The MasterTime and Monte Carlo both function as new; with the MasterTime winding, setting and hacking perfectly and the Monte Carlo starting, stopping and advancing through the hours smoothly.

What can I tell you about this set: From my experience servicing and repairing hundreds of these Heuer dashboard timers, I can say that this set has had very little use; the movement condition, zero jewel & pivot wear and original oil that was present pre-service shows this. This is, I believe, among the finest Heuer timers for sale today anywhere.

This is a later RallyMaster dating from between 1967 to 1974 & shows the 2 button arrangement Monte Carlo and 1-12 dial MasterTime, thicker cases and triple Heuer-Leonidas signing on the movements, closing plates and mounting plate.

As mentioned earlier, both watches have had a full service from myself including: Full strip and ultrasonic clean of the Monte Carlo Valjoux 7714 movement & case, full strip and ultrasonic clean of the MasterTime Arogno 28 movement & case, both reassembled with correct Moebius oils & greases where necessary and successfully regulated to +/- 5 seconds a day in one position and 18000 BPH on my timegrapher. See pictures for timegrapher results!

This is a very rare set and would be the ultimate accessory to finish off a period interior! Supplied with its original dashboard mounting hardware.

    £2300 GBP shipped worldwide.
