Wiper fuse blew 2 times within 30'

    Greetings,

it is quire rainy days over here, and while driving my 911L (swb 1968 US) and using the wipers (front) the fuse blew 2 times within 30 minutes. Running out out of fuses, I could not fix it and drove with no wipers on, but thankfully rain stopped shortly.
The fuse in place is a 8A, replaced with 8A twice. Wonder if it is the correct Intensity or a common problem easy to fix.

    Please enlight me .

    Cheers
    Xavier

Usually it's either mechanical (too much resistance) or electrical (Wiper engine)
Once you know what is is you can take action. So remove the wiper linkage and test the machanicals and have the wiper motor running without the linkage and measure with an amperemeter instead of the fuse how much it draws

Dried lubrication on wiper arm drive shafts is pretty common way to pop a fuse. Best to remove (PITA for sure) then clean and relubricate all concerned. Water intrudes here over time and washes away lubricant.
