    Front Ventilator Behr repair

    Hi all,

I am working on my heater ventilator (1970 behr) which is in front of the car under the dash. The ventilator works but the air is not directed the right way. I took it apart ( I love taking stuff like this apart). The valves have a foamy like bearing which is disintegrated. Any idea how to make it buy a good replacement? It consist of foamy material and it is ring shaped. Must be hot temperature proof.

I used some red silicone sheet material. Not sure if it was one or two layers, but it worked!

I always wondered if neoprene would work well for these?

Matt at Retro Automotive in Clarmont NH had those pieces made. Google them and contact.
