    73 bumperettes

Trying to reinstall 73 rubber bumperettes on my car. It presently
Has just the “S” deco strip. Is the original still available?
The one with the cutouts to mount the bumperettes?
    Any help greatly appreciated.

I would try and find another set of bumperettes which are made for the wider trim. I have been told you could enlarge the cutouts on the bumperettes to clear the wider trim but not a task I would take on.

These are my original '73 S rear bumper guards. I put some chromed with rubber strip ones on my car because I prefer the look, but of course keeping these for originality.
They are pretty easy to find on eBay because they are independent of the trim.

Fronts are much harder to find because they differ depending on the wide or narrow trim. The right side part number is 911.505.008.03. AAse has a used set right now at https://www.aasesales.com/products/f3d-ss158-116018

Also a set on eBay I found just now. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/303179486495...wAAOSwYaBc-HP6

The fronts also come with or without holes on the bottom to accommodate the the front protection bars if you have those?

When I took off my front 1973 bumperettes, I recall finding that the front S rubber strip did not go all the way across. Instead there was a gap at each bumperette. So I had to buy a full S rubber strip.

Here is a picture from the internet. You will see that the rubber strip goes under/in the bumper, but that there is stuff in the way for it to go all the way through.

So you need to either cut yours, or see if you can find specific ones for '73 that are cut for those gaps.
