    Steering wheel DIY recover

Does anyone have recommendations for a source of a kit to recover a 380mm wheel? On a related note, I’m got a donor wheel that seems to be in pretty good shape except for an inch long “dent’ in the rubber along the back side and a crack in the rubber near one of the spokes. I think I can probably warm up the spot near the spoke and work it back into position, but I’m unsure what to do about the back. Should I bother trying to fill that before recovering, or just leave it alone?

Arne’s write up is great. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I'd fill the spot on the back side with some epoxy of some sort before recovering it.
