'. . . coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2016 and subsequently underwent a multi-year $140k restoration that was completed in 2021. Work consisted of repainting the car in the factory Silver Metallic, retrimming the interior in black leather, modifying the flat-six engine to 2.7 liters, and rebuilding the five-speed manual transaxle. Additional work included refinishing the 15″ Fuchs wheels, modifying the mechanical fuel injection system, overhauling the brakes and suspension, and replacing the lighting, wiring harnesses, and interior trim. This 911S coupe is now offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with records and photos, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, and a clean California title.

An exterior refresh was carried out by John Esposito’s Porsche Repair of Los Angeles, California in 2019. Work included repairing the bodywork, replacing the hood and bumpers, and performing a bare-metal repaint in the factory Silver Metallic. The headlights, taillights, and badging were renewed or replaced as necessary, and additional equipment includes a front spoiler, a driver’s side mirror, and a PCA engine grille badge.

Refurbished 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels wear Porsche-crest center caps and are mounted with 195/65 Firestone Firehawk AS tires. The suspension and brakes were overhauled and feature Koni Classic red shock absorbers, a rear anti-roll bar, ATE calipers, vented rotors, and replacement hoses.

. . . interior was retrimmed in black leather by Autos International of Escondido, California after applying sound deadening material on the floor and side panels. Adjustable sport seats with houndstooth inserts have been added, and additional equipment includes a heater, a locking glove box, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.

. . . leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges that were refurbished by North Hollywood Speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, and the total chassis mileage is unknown.

. . . 2.4-liter flat-six was dismantled, cleaned, and rebuilt with Mahle 2.7-liter pistons and cylinders. The mechanical fuel injection system was also refurbished and modified to 2.7-liter RS specifications by MFI Werks of Bend, Oregon, the wiring harness was overhauled by Kroon Wire Harnesses BV of Kolham, Netherlands, and the distributor was rebuilt by Vintage Werks of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Photos from the restoration process can be viewed in the gallery, along with receipts totaling over $140,000

I think if I spent $140K on restoration I'd want details accurate (including the no cost ones like blown paint in the frunk rather than perfect high gloss throughout) but I guess to each their own.

I don't know about 1973, but my 1971 does not, and should not, have gloss in the front trunk.
