I have tried to unscrew the mounting plate from the body to have better access to the wiring. I can easily acces 2 screws, but there seems to be a screw under the control unit, hidden behind the plug with the wiring for the control unit.
What is the best way to get to this screw? Just unplug the plug of the control unit? Or is this to risky to break something?

You're just going to have to do this. Take your time, if by control unit you mean the C.D. box mostly you're pulling the rubber boot back, just wiggle as you pull,,,it will come off. As you saw in the above link, that is likely a plug for a sportomatic if equipped.

This is the plug where I think the screw is behind.

Yes, that is the C.D. box, the rubber boot is to seal and help keep the plug on securely. You're pulling the rubber boot over a lip of the C.D. box. You should be able to wiggle the plug side to side and it will pull off. Use a small screwdriver or plastic trim tool to pull the boot down as you pull the plug down.

As Ed advised, after wiggling I could unplug the wires and acces the 3 bolt to remove the panel from the body, so that I could better access my hidden plug and take a better picture

    It has 2 wires, a blue/yellow and a red/white.

Blue/Yellow and Brown/White I suspect. That’s the sportomatic air valve on 1970-1973 cars I believe. The blue/yellow should come from the 3 fuse box and I think is live all the time.
