    Fixed Door Pocket Rubber Trim

Hi is there an easy way to restore the trim on the fixed map pocket or is there no way to save it?
I have 2 that are in otherwise great condition but are splitting on the edge.

Most of the threads on this forum that I could find talk about the foldable pocket but less so the fixed one.

When restoring my 69 911, I had a company called Fibernew repair my knee bolsters and a few other molded vinyl pieces. The workmanship was really good and the repairs were not really noticeable unless pointed out under close scrutiny. I believe they are a franchise, so there’s probably local Fibernew techs in your area. Give them a search on Google and have a local tech look at the project and give guidance.

I found a Turkish seller on ebay that sells only the top trim but wasn’t holding my breath on the quality. They arrived last week but the chrome trim was broken so the seller sent a new pair. Waiting to see what they look like. They are likely lousy quality as well though so I’m going to investigate if I can repair them myself first, otherwise I will drop them off at Fibernew (to the extent they still offer repairs for this sort of item).

I think this is the same company that does the repro dashes and knee pads. I’ve ordered the knee dashes from them before but the quality just wasn’t up to par. Didn’t look like vinyl at all and color was totally off.
