WTB: original Recaro ST bucket seat

Looking for an original high bolster ST style Recaro bucket seat in very good condition.
Prefer perforations and black cord inserts.

Note: I will only consider offers from people I know or established members of this forum.
    thanks,
    Mark Morrissey

    Mark,

You might want to contact Adriaan (911E fan) in the Netherlands….he has a nice collection of original Recaro’s in his shop. I recently purchased a set of restored deep sixes from him and considered seats as well. He’s very easy to deal with and honest / trustworthy.

Hi Mark, they weren‘t made with perforated vinyl. So only plain is possible.

Thanks Cal... Uai, I see it makes sense you'd be right about the perfs.
Is there a bucket that did have perfs? Obviously, I haven't done my research.
I should clarify, I'm interested in original condition, not reupholstered... which I'm sure is difficult given the age of these seats and the wear they've been subjected to.

Here's the archetype of what I'm after.

hi mark, from the early recaro buckets, only the 4-leg had a perforation in the side padding. However, this would not match the year of construction of a 911 ST.

Thank you for your reply Uwe, that would be fine with me if the seat is in good, original condition. My car's bits are all over the map so it wouldn't matter.

I do have pretty nice seats but they're copies with perforations that I've been informed aren't correct. I don't really care about correct, but I would like original Recaros at some point in time. But, they have to ignite something within me... and original condition would be preferred.

    Hello Mark,

times have changed, what you see in the picture are two original Recaro 4-leg seats, a 67 and a 68 one.
One of them is complete original, the other one complete reupholstered.
In direct comparison you see the differences, but the gap becomes smaller

Hi Mark, unfortunaly not for sale, these seats are customers seats, who allowed me to use the pictures here in the forum. I just want to show you that in case you have an original seat, perhaps in bad condition, it is possible to reuphloster it in a way nearby the orgininal. So the range of seats to use will increase.

    Best
    Michael
