    Paint recommendations for full restoration

Hi, we are getting ready to paint and wanted to make sure I'm heading in the right direction.

Restoring a 1971 911T. Car was brought to bare metal, many panels repaired or replaced. No corners cut.

Curious to hear folks opinions regarding paint finishes. I'm leaning towards a factory finish Glasurit paint. Original color is Albert Blue.

Question is.... single stage or base + clear?

Car will not be 100% as it came from the factory. Minor suspension and engine upgrades but this is a numbers matching car.

I want to be able to enjoy the car as long as I'd like but also appeal to the largest buyer pool once I'm done with my fun. My gut tells me this is a single stage paint job but my heart wants to base + clear for durability and depth of color.

    Thoughts are much appreciated.

+1 for Single stage, although base + clear will look better in my opinion.

Single stage is easier to do spot repairs and blending

    Thanks, Rick

    Single stage.
The super mirror finish isn’t appealing despite the bling.

Thanks, overwhelming response. Those that have replied single stage, is this for historical accuracy or other reasons?

Agree with SS G-22 line, but my understanding is that it is more difficult to do spot repairs with Single Stage -- Base-Clear is easier for that
