    Where does this get bolted?

    I lost track of where this gets bolted / how its oriented. Anyone know for 73 911T? thanks

    Next to the flywheel, on the back of the motor. Should be a hole in the tin for the tube to pass thru.

    It is an oil drip tube, exit valve for engine gases.
    It just takes oil mist and blow by gases that have accumulated, and uses gravity, to control it to drip out of the car in the same place.
    It’s a caveman type one way valve.

    The rubber part is used on almost every air cooled bug engine. Follow the vent tube down from the oil fill cap on the generator stand, down under the engine and you will find it. VW P/N 311 115 541.
