    soft window floor pan restoration

We are beginning a sympathetic floor pan restoration on this 67 912 soft window targa. It has the original pan in it, so we will NOT cut it out and just replace it but rather perfectly patch areas with a new sacrificial pan and then coat upper and lower and add the original horsehair insulationName: IMG_9061.jpg

Hard to tell how much needs replacement with carpet in place. Sandblast or wire brush the panels and the answer will be easy. I’d replace the whole floor if it was my car. I’ve done that job many times. Also I’ve never owned a 911-912 that didn’t need at least outer rocker panel replacement, just finishing up the drivers side of my 70S.
