My car currently looks to have a mixed set of inserts/shocks front & rear (Bilstein?). I'm going to have my shop IPB Autosport in Sacramento order a matching set to go on my 71T. What would be era appropriate for the car? Koni I assume?
TIA

What brand are your front struts? Boge, Bilstein or Koni? I would run Bilstein HD's front and rear. If you have Koni's then run those front and rear. If Boge then Bilstein for Boge front strut and Bilstein for the rear both HD.

I did exactly this on my restoration. Boge with Bilstein inserts at the front and Bilstein at the rear. Very good result.
Another with Boge with Bilstein inserts front, Bilstein rear. I still have the 3" front caliper bolt spacing so opted for the Alfa Romeo Brembo caliper upgrade.

I've always preferred Koni's, they are a touch softer than Bilsteins. I had Bilsteins on other 911's but found they ended up with a clunking sound at the front after I'd put miles on them.

Here is the listing for the car:

Looks like Bilstein on the rear. Not sure on the fronts, green brand?
My shop & I discussed options. I'm leaning towards adjustable Konis.

A question for you - are you looking for just ride improvement? I will always replace existing sway bar bushings on any pre-owned car I purchase. Pretty inexpensive and pretty easy to do. Results? just a bit tighter handling for a few dollars.
Also, check your rubber suspension bushings, front and rear. Cracked? Elongated/ovaled? Time to replace.
