Soon I will start assembling the dash (if it matters SWB).
There are the gauges, fresh air assembly, steering assembly, radio, switches, etc.
Is there a redecommded sequence that works best in light of accessibility?
Thanks
Richard

I will be interested in this one….I did mine after all components/wires etc were complete …
Made access to the bolts interesting….almost think before any items would be better?

start first having installed everything in the trunk.
steering assembly, gauges as you like, better accesability if you do them right away.
switches dito and then the fresh air item!!!
Do not forget the wiper unit rubber thingie-this is screwed from top of the dashboard.
radio not necessary, but loudspeaker! if you plan to have some sound!
then water drip tray …
make sure your dashboard has all the protective layers under the metal core to protect any squirking from scratching metal on metal.
you can either install with no window,
or, with window, works also with steering wheel,
need some brute force..the under dash trunks screws points are still reachable at all.

I respectfully disagree , some of the studs for the dash are essentially inaccessible with some of the gauges in place .

for the dash nuts
an extremely long extension and a tiny bit of butle gets you there
..the 2nd executive of the dashboard actually does only have two scews to fasten, but quite some „snap-in“ fasteners,
which makes it delicate to properly fix them. But all in all managable!
Concerning paint protection I had this thread:

Concerning vid…well I just have a pic of a late night work und der dash from the trunk side…exactly fitting all the above mentioned parts..![]()

Agree with Richy…..if all instrument installed think there are at least 1 or 2 bolts unreachable …
The others do need multiple extensions and bright light to see bolt stud ..

Steering assembly so it's a roller if that matters to you. Flexible bracket for the wiper assembly. This is a must as it mounts from the top. Then dash pad, then wiring, then gauges, then switches that mount through the dash, then wiper assembly, then fresh air parts etc. Install the dash then the window. There's plenty of access to everything.
