Brake pressure switch install question - 1970 911

So I have read all the threads, I understand how it works and how the pin in depressed when pressure is lost in one circuit.

Question is - if I remove the bad one, and install the the new one, does the system need bleed? It seems with the plastic pin that maybe the switch is not exposed to fluid itself? I have haven't pulled one before.

Other thought is anytime the master is opened, system should be bleed.

Did a search and found find an answer to this one. Thank you in advance.

That is not a pressure switch , but an imbalance switch . I have never experienced one that failed . And no , most likely you will not have to bleed the brakes .

Thanks Richy. Interesting one never failed. I may need to check the master then if still an issue after install. Or might need a bleed anyway. Also, yes, imbalance, it works off a notch in a piston I think.
