    Brake Bleeder Rubber Caps

I just completed a suspension restoration on my 67 912 and noticed while bleeding the brakes that I had 2 types of rubber bleeder caps. See photos.

One is ATE with ridges on the sides and the other is FAG with smooth sloped sides. Which is correct for a December 66 build car?

Thanks! Stoddard and others sell both types. The ATE ones are pricey at about $4 each!

There are generic packs of ten with a somewhat similar look that works out lot less about tenth price on eBay but probably don’t need ten. If want ate genuine with brand markings then they’re at least a couple of quid each in England. Not sure of significance of the secondary marking in example … E68. I don’t think it’s country of manufacture E mark as not aware scheme number system goes that high?

Just one eBay example for similar generic fewer ribs on side and different markings but at distance similar look:

I would go for ate for authenticity but functionally would do job and some folks may not care on branding. Not particularly visible but I would know.
