72 oil door details and questions

I have 72S in my garage (built oct71), and I photographed an original paint tangerine 72T today. (Built feb72)
    I was looking for details.
One that I saw was the oil door.
First the socket head cap screws and second the unpainted hinge.

I have seen unpainted hinges before. Is it possible this of how they came? The second owner said he never took it apart.

    Surrounded, all not painted

    And no decals.

The next thing I saw was a very lightweight engine sound pad.
Same one in both cars. I thought for sure they were heavy things.
    (No photo)

The car in garage has black wheel wells , black engine area.
Orange car, hardly black anywhere. Just some on doors.

Hinge has been replaced. Hinge was painted at factory. You can tell because the spring is painted. The hinges are prone to breaking. Socket screws are correct and they weren't painted. The lever should be painted also. The very early levers were not removable then later they went to the removable lever with the 2 hex nuts. A lot of 72 restorations have the lever redone in yellow zinc but early 72 they were painted on the car. Now I have to get all my photos together to show you all this because I have so much time on my hands.

^^^^ there was a whole other thread on this (somewhat amazing). Both were found. Mine happens to be rubber.

As delivered for 03/72, never disassembled, OG paint car. No sticker on cap for some reason, doesn’t look like there was one there?

Don't think the bar was ever zinc/gold anodised either and those giant washers beyond the 2 bolts were definately not original either...just saying

Cap may have been polished looks pretty shiny hence why sticker is gone perhaps.
