Headliner Install; Attaching to C Pillar Question

I'm heading on my 69T. The old one was completely butchered and not installed correctly. I'm looking at the C pillar and wondering if something might be missing - like a tack rail or something else - at the bottom of the sail panel where it meets the flat surface covering the enginer. Is this thing just glued or is there a piece of foam or something else that I am missing? Looked in PET and did not see anything so I'm assuming it's just glued - but I wanna make sure. Thanks.

    once the headliner is fitted
staple a piece of door panel type material
then glue it to the parcel shelf
the parcel shelf cover helps to keep it in place

I had problems with this area when I replaced the headliner many years ago. If I do this again, my memo to myself was to fit this corner before gluing anything else.

The way it was done originally was a strip of cardboard like or fiberboard like material is attached to the fabric at the bottom of the C-pillar. Then that cardboard strip is used to pull downward and tighten all the material in the corner. The strip is then pinched into place by several metal tangs that are part of the rear hat shelf its self. Here you can see when I did mine I used a rigid piece of cardboard from a piston set box. After it is all dried and set in place, you can carefully hit the corner area with a heat gun to remove any fine waves or wrinkles. Do not forget to mark and carefully add holes for your pop out rear window hinges. The C-pillar area was one of the most challenging to get right, so take your time and use hundreds of clamps.

the early workshop manual shows tacking down the cardboard with upholstery nails/self-taping screws.
it appears later cars had the metal "tangs" that could be used to hold it down

For reference my car is an early 69 the same as the OP so I would assume his should have the tangs as well.
