Fender to cowl seal for 1965 and 66

    Hello.
I have seen the fender to cowl seal that looks like rope.
Does anyone know what years they were like rope?
And just curious, what was it made of?
I am fixing a car built in sept 1965.

Exact same material as used in the interior. I used some old original scrap material to ensure originality

Not sure when a cord was added but 301318 (May, '65) just had folded interior vinyl as pictured with no cord.
