    9113601268

    VIN = 9113601268
    Eng# = 6631234
    Trans# = 7140046(?)
    Prod# = 1037585

'. . . one of 1,580 examples produced and was outfitted in M472 Touring specification. It is said to have been originally delivered to Germany and was refurbished around 2010. The car is finished in Light Yellow over black and Pepita upholstery and is powered by a 2.7-liter flat-six equipped with mechanical fuel injection and linked with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a ducktail rear spoiler, 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels, front sport seats, rear seats, and a heater. This Carrera RS was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and is now offered in Germany with German registration.

This Touring example is finished in Light Yellow (117) and features a driver-side mirror and black Carrera side stripe graphics. The seller notes that there was an on-track accident prior to a refurbishment, which was carried out between 2009 and 2010.

The front sport seats have been reupholstered in black with Pepita fabric inserts, and interior appointments include rear seats, a locking glovebox, and a heater. M472 Touring cars received carpets, adjustable seats, and door armrests.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 300-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 7,800 kilometers (~4,800 miles), which is said to represent the mileage since completion of the refurbishment. Approximately 500 kilometers were added by the selling dealer, and total mileage is unknown.

The 2.7-liter 911/83 flat-six was factory equipped with Nikasil-lined cylinders and Bosch mechanical fuel injection, and output was rated at 230 (SAE) horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential.

The vehicle is being sold on its German registration. The sale does not include a title, as the vehicle is registered in a country that does not issue titles for vehicles

For those of us who are not RS experts, it would be cool to hear the details about what's wrong, especially the stamps.
    Thanks

Onsuch a late production example, it should be a Porsche A.G. aluminum VIN tag
Covenient that the triple lighter are located where the production number was stamped. Heavy smoker I guess.

I don't understand how they could tell themself "yes that's ok, let's move on to painting and reassembly".

I seriously think they were inspired by the VIN of a Renault 4L to redo what they did on the car.

It's a nice restoration, question is of what? They claim it was in an accident, how much was replaced? Who said "1500 produced 5,000 still in circulation"?
    Where is Steve?

Nice to see Brian comment on BAT. Agree with his observations and his request to see the production number stamp.
