FS: 1968 1969 1970 Blaupunkt New Yorker Radio + Matching Manuals

For Sale: A Blaupunkt New Yorker AM/ SW / FM Signal Seek Radio. This is the top of the line radio that Blaupunkt made for the Porsche 911 / 912 in the 1968 - 1970 period.

    1) The New Yorker is a US band AM/SW/FM Radio with the FM Band to 108 on the FM dial. The New Yorker is very similar to the Blaupunkt Koln which in the late 1960s was a Euro Band radio. The New Yorker has the signal seek feature. It was the top of the line Blaupunkt Radio in the USA for the1968 - 1970 Porsche 911 912.

    2) This radio comes with all of its original paperwork manuals. The serial number on the paperwork matches the serial number on the radio.

    3) This radio will operate on either 6V or 12v with either Positive or Negative ground. Currently the radio is set up for 12V Pos Gnd. It is very easy to change the power settings.

    4) The serial number begins with the letter " A " which means the radio was built by Blaupunkt between July 1, 1968 and June 30, 1969.

    5) The paperwork says the radio was purchased by a US Air Force Lt. Col at Lindsay Air Station Wiesbaden Germany on Dec 2, 1970.

    5) This is a good looking radio with a chrome radio face surround needed for the late 68, 69 & 70 Porsche 911 / 912. There is also an extra Blaupunkt universal face plate which will be included. The radio dial face is very nice and it has all the knobs in place. The chrome on the ends of the push buttons is nice. This radio will look good in the dash.

    6) The radio is complete with all of its cables, power wires etc. I powered the radio up with 12V power and it played on FM and made speaker noise on AM but I couldn't bring in any AM stations. FM stations played loud and clear. I pressed the signal seek button and nothing happened. So the radio will need service. But this old Blaupunkt is in much better condition than most I have found over the years. And it comes with matching manuals which is unusual.

Price is $750.00 + reasonable shipping. Contact me via this web site. Thanks for your interest. DSC01307.jpgDSC01318.jpgDSC01314.jpgDSC01313.jpgDSC01312.jpgDSC01311.jpgDSC01306.jpgDSC01305.jpgDSC01303.jpgDSC01304.jpg
