Window decal and spare tire on 1973 911

My 1973.5 911 does not have the round decal in the right rear window. But on certain foggy days, the remnants of the circle is there. I have never purchased one of the replacements out there because (1) I don't care to block my view there, and (2) I don't like the later silver decal that some of the online sellers show for my car.

There is what looks to be a pretty original 1973 911S with the earlier sticker on there. Is it possible that the online sellers are wrong, and this is the correct sticker?

Second, what is that geared spare tire?
