    FS: @Ni-Cola Classics - 2-Liter Racecar with nice history 303785. 13448

    Porsche 911
    Year of construction: 1966
Chassis number: #13448 (First VIN 303785 see text)
    - 1967 Touring Car – European Champion of Division 3 over 1,600 cc
    - 1968 touring car – European runner-up in Division 3
    - Active racing career from 1967 to 1973 with a total of 67 races
    - Driven by Gerhard Mitter, Dieter Glemser, Helmut Kelleners, Georg Loos and Rolf Stommelen
    - Rediscovered in 2015 and subsequently restored to the high standard

At the touring car Grand Prix at the Nürburgring in 1967 , Gerhard Mitter set a new best time for touring cars. Later, however, Mitter went off the track and damaged the car so badly, that the car then had to be completely rebuilt with a new numbered replacement body.
From here, the chassis number #303785 changes to the number #13448, which is still used today.

The car has been restored to its 1970 condition using original parts wherever possible, when #13448 won the class and 18th place overall in the 1000 km race at the Nürburgring. This car with a nice history is offered from Ni-Cola Classics

    Softwindow or Marek,
Can you provide a link to the listing? I can't find it on the Ni-Cola website.
    Thanks,

The original car was completed about Feb 1966, so there is a big gap between completion and competition. Lots of questions there.

    https://www.classicdriver.com/en/art...cing-conquests
    https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car...1/1967/1052137
    Claims:
In July 1967 this Porsche 911 2,0 was delivered to Karl von Wendt. For the 1968 season the car got a racing upgrade from Mitter Tuning, Böblingen.
Georg Loos had the technology built up in 1970 in the style of 911R or 911 2.3 ST. That means 2 x oil coolers in the fenders as well as short swingarms in the rear. Also in 1970 a bigger brake system with adjustable pedals was installed, because the technique had a lot of freedom in the group 5 version. From 1970, the rear side panels were widened to accommodate 8 inch steel wheels.
The powerplant is basically a Carrera 6 power-unit with sharp camshafts, 46 Weber carburetors and tuned up according to the customs of the time. Mostly Carrera 6 parts were used. Test bench at Porsche Kremer, Cologne.
ZF lock from the 904 was standard. Rear fender tips in aluminum finish. The car was entered in 67 races from July 1967 to June 1973 in the 2 liter class. First owned by Karl Freiherr von Wendt, Schloss Gevelinghausen, then by Jürgen Neuhaus, Wuppertal, sold on to Georg Loos, Cologne and finally owned by Horst Klauke, Neuwied.
Therefor this was probably one of the most used Porsche 911 2.0 liter racing cars from 1967 to mid 1973. It was driven on many race tracks in Europe, such as the 24h Spa (1967), various 1000 km races Nürburgring, Targa Florio, as well as many other exciting race tracks and mountain races in Spain, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland.
In 1967 and 1968 homologated and used as a touring car, the remaining years as a GT up to 2.0 liters according to Group 5 regulations.
1967 Karl Freiherr von Wendt became European Touring Car Champion (ETCC).
1968 Helmut Kelleners became vice champion in the touring cars (ETCC).
1972 Horst Klauke became champion in the GT up to 2 liters.
This car is well documented, all ownership details are known. Unique are the prominent and successful drivers, as well as the many stories with and around the car.
The Porsche was restored to its original 1970 condition with the support of the former drivers (Jürgen Neuhaus/Horst Klauke) (victory 1000 km Nürburgring, starting number 92).

    Drivers:
    Karl Freiherr von Wendt 1967
    Gerhard Mitter 1967
    Dieter Fröhlich 1967
    Dieter Glemser 1968
    Helmut Kelleners 1968
    Jürgen Neuhaus 1968
    Georg Loos 1969/70/71
