Finding an old family 911s---where do I even start?

Hello everyone. My uncle had a 1967 (I think) 911s in the 1960s, he sold it in 1970 to a dentist in Philadelphia. He doesn't have the VIN as it was so long ago. He last registered it in New York. I was wondering if there's any way to track this down. Where do I even start with such a task? I have so little data but I hear some people keep exhaustive records of these things, so I thought I'd reach out...

Really hard without the VIN. Any documents at all? Coupe? Color?

Probably a silly question, but does he know the name of the dentist?

Information is coming in slowly. Don't have the name of the subsequent owner, unfortunately. He says the color is sand beige, and it was likely the 2nd or 3rd 1967 911S produced.

I realize this isn't a lot to go on, wondering how much of a dead end this is. I hope there's a way.

In theory we could back into the VIN, or at least some possible
