    Gas filler flap

    I just bought a filler flap from international merchantile,it is a grey fabric type of material.i think porsche used a black rubber type.what is the correct one for a 71 911t.

    I think the gray fabric type is more original.

    The original grey filler in my ‘72 is fairly beat up. Would love to see a picture of what you received.

    I know for 69 it was light grey on one side and orange on the other side. There were for sure gray, black, and the dual colored one I mentioned.

    My 71 has this. Looks correct to me. After all, I've owned the car for 51 years.

    Replaced my very tired '73 grey/black original with a less tired '71 yellow/grey original about 20 years ago...

    I think this is another issue of what they had leftover in the factory trim-materials storeroom ....

    (Dare I say, kind'a like the material at any given time of the factory tool pouches... I know... blasphemy !!! ... )
