Valuation Help: '73 2.7 RS MFI Pump and Parts

I'm going through my parts stash to figure out what I may have already have that I can potentially use with a very complete '72 coupe I just acquired. The motor appaears to be all there but it has not run in a long, long time. I started researching some of my MFI parts and much to my surprise the refurbed MFI pump I have appears to be a 1973 2.7 RS pump. The part number is 0408 126 019 which several threads over on Pelican state that the "019" is the indicator for the 2.7 RS version. More research shows a '73 RS MFI pump, stacks, intake, etc. for sale out of Japan for $20k USD. I have no idea if that is pure fantasy or accurate value; hence this post. Any thoughts on valuation are appreciated.

And here is the obligatory picture of the '72 I was mentioning. Pulled out a slumber after 25 years. it is a solid narrow-bodied time capsule.

Value on pump would depend on if it is a “restamped” pump that has been converted to RS spec.
The RS pumps are usually all aluminum, but in ‘73 I believe all MFI pumps were aluminum, so you can have a restamped “S” pump. Is your pump aluminum or mag, and does the tag look restamped. Post a picture.

cbpiii is correct with that possibility...

21 years ago I had Gus put in an RS space cam and recalibrate my April '73S 021 alloy pump. It came back with a 019 tag. When asked, Gus said that's the easiest way to keep track on the spot for further work, instead of trying to look up the paper work...

Hello very nice find , have a super clean ‘72 T as well , love the side oil door year..
As to the RS injection yes a mechanical O19 pump can command a premium there may be some here who have aquired more recently than me , but last I saw listed was between $4k - $6k , a complete system with manifolds , stacks lines injectors and pump could command as much as $15k- $20k depending on condition fresh like new top of the tire , worn needing repair below the lowest number .
I bought a complete as new ‘73 S mechanical injection complete for $16 k some years ago which at the time I thought rather high but with the condition was worth taking the risk ..Bert

I am now wondering if this actually a 911 T pump. Maybe that "9" is actually a "5"? I'm honestly fine either way. I can use a back up T pump too!

Tag serial date code suggests April 72 which seems too early assembly for the timelines we know for model 73 Carrera RS even allowing OE equipment supply chain lead time. Agree the 9 of 019 looks modified most likely 015 by adding a small vertical stamp on top / right. Give away is the right angles at several points in compared to the expected curves of stamped with the 9 tool . Certainly that last digit looks different to 9 on my 73 RS which from plate date code vs car date of birth pretty sure it still has its factory 019 pump. Magnesium or aluminium body ? What is the casting date in the casting body?

Yeah sorry that’s a five ,if it was restamped it would be over that number , I did just this past week buy a pristine set of stacks for $2k on the bird but they were like new and the asking was $3k …Bert

That is a good core to convert to an RS pump. I have an aluminum pump and a mag pump, and while aluminum is what was used on the RS, the mag pump is much lighter.
