    Full leather 1972 911 T

    Hi,
a friend of mine just bought a beautiful sepia brown US 1972 911T with a brown full leather option on the original order form.
The seats, door panels and part of the back seat sides are, I think, in leather but parts seem also to be in brown leatherette (wheel archs, rear deck and front dash board).

Does this interior seem completely original to you? Is it normal to have this mix of leather and leatherette, or am I wrong thinking this is leatherette?

Also The carpets are beige (light brown) but seem quite old, so might be original...or not. I thought there would be dark brown carpets with a brown interior?

It's common. The entire interior would not be all leather. Looks legit to me. What's the plaque on the glove box say?

Take a close up of the door hinge bolts? Has it been repainted? Take more photos of the carpet on the kick panels etc.

Nice brown interior. Haven´t seen an all brown leather interior yet.
Most parts look correct. Not shure about the corduroy inserts. Looks like those have been replaced or have seen a lot of sunlight last 50 years.
Interesting to see a brown upper shelf.

    The carpet is not original.

    Dirk,
the corduroy inserts are original, they appear in the Porsche factory certificate. Concerning the brown upper shelf, I think you got those only when you took the full leather option, but from what I have seen, I think it's vinyle and not leather, really strange.
