    Factory electrical tape

I’m fairly certain that some sort of fabric tape was used to tie up unused fog light wiring at the factory. Anyone know it’s type and who might have it? Here’s a photo from a very original 69’ Targa: thanks! JohnName: IMG_1116.jpg

    John,
I’ve not looked for this specifically but, it is a cloth tape and very similar to athletic tape that I use to wrap baseball bat handles, similar to the old school bicycle handlebar tape too.

Thanks Michael, I’ll look for the tape on sites that provide athletic supplies. Has to be cheaper than anything related to old cars!

May not be exact, but I use black friction tape.

I imagine so. It’s a bit thinner but, what’s an extra wrap around in the big scheme. Most sports stores carry it. I just bought a roll over the weekend at Play it Again sports.

Ha, Ed beat me to it. Go to Home Depot and ask the oldest guy working there for “Friction Tape”. The young guys won’t usually know what u are looking for.

Found some friction tape on Amazon (where else?). Athletic tape had the right look but it was a bit too wide. Thanks Everyone!
