Hi,

I'm looking to confirm the current collective wisdom on the switch over timing/engine number cut-off for the '1964' type of curved fin lower valve cover (901.105.116.02, top and bottom fins progressively lower in height than the centre fins), and when production changed to equal height fins with part number 901.105.116.03.

I am rebuilding an early matching-number engine from a Feb-'65 build completion date car, and prior to strip-down it has a curved fin lower valve cover one side, and equal height/flat fins on the other. It is not this engine's first rebuild so I expect one cover has been swapped out sometime in it's previous life. I would like to get this visual detail corrected in the rebuild.

Is there a known engine number cut-off for when production moved from 'curved fin' 901.105.116.02 to 'flat fin' 901.105.116.03 ?

Many thanks for any confirmations if known......
