    AI chatgpt poem

I read yesterday an article about chatgpt AI is generating poems. The study participants found the poems of artificial intelligence more beautiful and rhythmic, as two researchers from the US University of Pittsburgh write in the journal "Scientific Reports".
    https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-024-76900-1

"The simplicity of AI-generated poems may be easier for laymen to understand, which means that they prefer AI-generated poetry," the researchers write. It may be that the participants misinterpreted the complexity of human poems and assumed that some parts were incoherent words that the AI generated.

So, I thought, let chatGPT do a poem about Porsche….

    here we go, enjoy:

The Open Road, a Porsche’s Hymn

Beneath the sun’s warm, golden glare,
The engine hums, a growl so rare.
A Porsche poised, sleek metal steed,
Designed for thrill, for speed, for need.

The wheel in hand, a perfect fit,
A gentle press, the tires grip.
The turbo whispers, then it roars,
As freedom spills from open doors.

Through winding bends and sweeping turns,
The asphalt sings, the rubber burns.
Each gear a note in symphony,
Of man and machine in harmony.

The world becomes a fleeting blur,
The wind a wild, unbridled stir.
No bounds, no chains, no ties to hold,
    Just dreams ahead, alive, untold.

A moment’s pause, the mountains rise,
    Reflected deep in headlight eyes.
The Porsche rests, its heartbeat calm,
Yet in its frame, a restless psalm.

For it was built to chase the sky,
To kiss the road, to never lie.
    A testament to daring dreams,
To live the thrill, to push extremes.

So drive, oh driver, seize the day,
    Let no horizon slip away.
The Porsche calls, its soul ablaze—
Your journey waits, the open ways.

    Software vs Inspiration

This is what happens when 'smart' people try to 'create' anything

Calling that collection of words a poem is like describing the Aztec as well-engineered

Just 'cause the pieces fit doesn't mean it's something good

    Arf!
